By using the MAT® polymer coating, soft surfaces such as nonwovens, textiles and papers can be treated antimicrobially without the use of biocides. Conventional application methods such as spraying, dipping, squeegeeing, foaming or padding are used. In this way, antimicrobially treated filter media (e.g. air or water filters), textiles (e.g. antimicrobially treated clothing) and papers (e.g. for packaging materials) can be produced.
Hard surfaces such as metal, plastic, glass, ceramics or wood can also be given an antimicrobial finish by simple coating processes (application by spraying, rolling or wiping).
