Mundex W955 (for industrial applications)

Water-based self-disinfecting and hydrophobic polymer emulsion

By using Mundex W955, flexible surfaces as technical nonwovens, textiles, papers and cardboard can be made antimicrobial and at the same time water-repellent without the use of biocides. Conventional application methods such as spraying, dipping, doctoring, foaming or padding are used. In this way, textiles (e.g. antimicrobial-finished clothing) and papers (e.g. for packaging materials) can be produced.

Performance

Antimicrobial effect tested by independent testing laboratories: 

> 99.99 %          against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria (tested according to JIS Z 2801 / ISO 22196 against Staphylococcus aureus, E. Coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa)
> 99 %               against Legionella (tested according to JIS Z2801 / ISO 22196 against Legionella pneumophila, effect within 4 hours)
> 99 %               against enveloped viruses (tested according to screening test S2 following the RKI guideline (1995) as well as ISO 21702:2019 against coronaviruses, effect within 8 hours)

Application
